President’s Message May 2023
Our Membership meeting/breakfast will be held Thursday, May 11, 9:30 AM at the Broken Yolk Cafe, 2434 Vista Way. At the May meeting we will elect the Board of Directors for 2023/24 and the Budget Committee will present the Board-approved budget for 23/24. In addition, the Chairs of our various Committees will give us a brief summary of their group activities over the past year. I think that you will enjoy hearing about all the fun we’ve been having!

PRESIDENT’s MESSAGE
Happy New Year! The Vista Friends & Newcomers Board and Committee Chairs have been busy planning lots of exciting adventures for 2023. We’ll start with a fund-raising auction at the Membership meeting on January 12 and a picnic and grand view at Double Peak Park on January 17. We’re also talking about Coaster and Amtrak train trips, a Sprinter ride, theater events and more tea parties this year!

President’s message:
The first day of Autumn was September 22nd, and to honor the season, here’s a haiku for you:
Cool mornings, bright days
Colorful leaves adorn trees
It’s high time to bake!
Happy Fall Vista Friends and Newcomers! October promises to be another fun-filled month starting with our Membership meeting on October 6, 9:30 am at the Broken Yolk Cafe. Be sure to read Janet DeSantis’ description of the fun she has planned for that day. We will also have reports from the standing Committee Chairs. Our Holiday Party Planning Committee will give you an update on when, where, and what is planned for us. I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon—Shirley
