August 2023 President Message

Summer is finally here.  I hope that you are enjoying your time with family and friends in many summer activities.  If you’re traveling, be safe and enjoy the wonders of our great nation.  If you’re staying home, plan a staycation with one day outings.  Just enjoy the summer as fall will be upon us in no time.  Our August calendar is filled with many exciting activities for each of us.  Debbie Draper has several programs planned for the year.  At our August 10^th meeting there will be a speaker from the Animal Shelter and some of the items that they need are listed below.  We can look forward to September’s meeting where a program on self defense for women and children will be presented.  Looking forward to seeing you at our August meeting.

Our Membership meeting/breakfast will be held Thursday, May 11, 9:30 AM at the Broken Yolk Cafe, 2434 Vista Way.   At the May meeting we will elect the Board of Directors for 2023/24 and the Budget Committee will present the Board-approved budget for 23/24.  In addition, the Chairs of our various Committees will give us a brief summary of their group activities over the past year.  I think that you will enjoy hearing  about all the fun we’ve been having!
