Thursday, October 13, 2016 — Our upcoming program promises to be so much fun! Our long-time member, Elizabeth DeBoer, will be presenting her incredible costumes which she has sewn and worn for Comic Con, along with other items in her collection. Her talent is perfection and she shares her gift with others as well. Some of us are familiar with her exceptional work and requested a repeat show. You will definitely want to join us to see these unique creations.
Our movie for October will be “Girl on the Train”, which isn’t released until October 7. Date, Time and Place will be emailed to the movie group and announced at coffee. For more information or to be placed on the email list call Sandy.
Here we are at STITCH AND BITCH at Trudy’ s house. We‘re putting together dried beans and assorted other dried soup making ingredients.
Then we can follow her recipe and make soup. In my house, we will wait for cooler weather.
We went to the BELCHING BEAVER for LEO last month. It’s a new restaurant in Vista and very popular. We had two big tables.
Virginia Hueth arranged for a wine tasting at Brooking Winery in Vista I’m not a wine connoisseur . I don’t know one type from another, hardly, but this port was really special. Mr. Brooking won five gold medals at the SD County Fair one year (2014). I’ve never tasted anything like his award winning wine.
Entertainment Books are available very soon. We coupled up at the Jolly Roger for August LEO and used coupons.
Our coffee will be an ice cream social this month. We will just have a good time with each other. And our meeting. Expanding our friendships with members and guests will be good for all.
.Looking forward on our calendar we have some enjoyable outings planned. Book club members should look forward to a movle from one of our books. Talk with Sandy Stevens if you want to join in on the movie group.
We will be having a BINGO PARTY at Arcadia Place to show our appreciation to the residents for 25 years of letting us meet there.

The September Luncheon we will be enjoying Italian cuisine at CIAO in Vista. We will meet at 11:30 at 2015 E. Vista Way on Thursday, Sept. 22. There will be a sign up sheet at the September Coffee. S W E E T! MMM………….September finds us at our Coffee Meeting experiencing an Ice Cream Social! Come and chat with friends while enjoying ice cream, cookies and coffee as well. This is a fun opportunity to get to know each other better and satisfy your sweet tooth with yummy treats. Please extend an invitation to those you feel may have similar interests and are looking for a group like ours. Of course we are always pleased to welcome new friends.
