This month’s program will feature Lisa Rooney–the Scarf Lady. Lisa was born in Ca. and works on a cruise ship as a singer, dancer and social hostess.She has a passion for scarves and collects them at almost every port all over the world. Her scarf presentation covers many different ties with a variety of types and sizes of scarves. Lisa has a knack for finding the right scarf tie for each scarf. I think you will be surprised and delighted. If you desire, you may purchase her 2 pack DVD set that shows about 40 different scarf ties close up. Because Lisa has so much to share, we are turning things around this month and will have the program first, starting at 10:00 am, followed by the business meeting.This will be an exciting meeting. This month’s coffee will be the scarf lady followed by recognizing our club s founding in 1990 -1991. Refreshments will be second.
We started out when Margo DeVol and Jo Keller gathered some friends together to make new friends and meet new people in the new areas of Vista. They started out as WELCOME WAGON, but by the middle of 1991they changed to VISTA FRIENDS AND NEWCOMERS.

I’m happy to say that some of these ladies are still members. 26 years is a lot of loyalty.

Our bus trip to Viejas Casino and outlet mall was a big success. Thanks to Linda Mueller who put it together. Friends who went on this outing were ready to go again soon.

The nominating committee is in action. Let Virginia Hueth know how you would like to serve, either as an elected officer or a chairperson. Board members attend board meetings and are a necessary part of our club. Please help.

Casino and Outlet Shopping Trip

Casino and Outlet Shopping Trip Feb. 18, 2016 $15.00 per person( receive coupon for 50% off food in restaurants and a discount coupon book for outlet center) We will meet at Food for Less at 500 Hacienda Dr., Vista at 8:45 a.m. and the bus will leave promptly at 9:00 a.m. If you have a casino club membership card, bring it with you or you can get a new one at the casino. All bus riders must have valid photo id and a club membership card in order for us to quality for free bus. This is a fund raiser for the club and all monies received will be kept by club. The Outlet Mall is across the street from the casino for members wishing to shop. Feel free to invite friends. Reservations are due and payable no later than February 5 There will be a sign up-sheet at the January coffee meeting. Contact: Linda M for further information.
